Hunter currently serves as the chair of the firm's litigation department. His practice focuses on real property and construction disputes. Hunter represents clients across North Carolina in both state court and federal court. Prior to joining City of Oaks Law, Hunter served as legal counsel to Chief Justice Paul Newby of the Supreme Court of North Carolina.

Hunter graduated magna cum laude from Elon University School of Law, where he was a member of the Elon Law Review editorial board and the Elon Law Moot Court Board. Hunter is also an alumnus of the New City Fellows program at the Center for Public Christianity and attends Holy Trinity Anglican Church. In his spare time, Hunter enjoys playing pickleball and flipping houses.
